Of course, these days, if you mention that you are interested in poetry, particularly love poetry, then you are not exactly going to be labelled as cool. But I don't care, I'm quite openly uncool - although I think my jeans are pretty cool!
In fact, I've been putting what little I know of Italian to good use and recently been chatting to people on the site Love Padlocks about poetry and really enjoyed it. I have even got my girlfriend hooked on it - and she's an Aussie!
She would slap me for saying that Australians are not romantic and stuff, especially considering I'm an Aussie living in New Zealand myself and that I met her on an Australian dating site.
But I like to do anything that makes her mad! I really have learned a lot about poetry through that site, though, and I'm even considering returning to college to learn some more about it. Whether or not I can persuade my girlfriend to join me remains to be seen - if I don't stop making fun of her, I might be forced to return to Australian dating again very soon!
